Smooth operator Lamalice is back on Anthea’s Partisan label with Dysproprioception, a four-track release that leans into the French producer’s talent for atmospheric club tools. Driven by rhythm, serious swing, and a heavy low-end, the record moves with an effortless flow that pulls dancers deeper into its groove. While vocal fragments fade like half-remembered conversations, acidic flourishes sharpen the edges. Each track balances functionality with mood, providing DJs with tools that lock the floor while carrying their own character — these are weapons for the floor. The spotlight falls on B1, “CONTROL”, where Lamalice weaves his own vocals into a beautiful stripped framework — a cut already making its presence felt on the dancefloor. The title may suggest disoriented perception, but what emerges most clearly is Lamalice’s precision: rhythm and movement honed into hypnotic form.
